Published in Paperback by Butterworth-Heinemann Medical (15 January, 1988)
Average review score:

Simple easy readingHaving read a number of books in the area of medical decision making, I feel this book by Sox et al...is one of the most useful book on the subject.. It is very readable and provides worked out examples which carry the reader through the steps involved in decision analysis.... With the limited number of books on the subject, I think its a must for people in the field of medical decision making.

The Medium and the Light: Reflections on Religion
Published in Paperback by Stoddart Pub (May, 2002)
Average review score:

Fantastic and InsightfulThis collection of McLuhan's interviews, lectures and essays relating to religion in the age of electronic communication is as essential to today's readers as they were when written. 1954's 'Catholic Humanism and Modern Letters' is simply stunning. McLuhan's religious understanding of the world should not be forgotten when considering the prophetic outlook of his other works.

Wonderfully InspirationalI bought this book at 11:00 a.m. and was finished by 8:30 p.m. the same evening. Such an easy read and so truthful and full of love, laughter and tears. Catherine Marshall wrote honestly about her life and her constant struggle with her relationship with God. Her honesty was touching. One of the best books I've read in a long time.

Mental Attitude to Dressage
Published in Paperback by J A Allen & Co Ltd (August, 1999)
Average review score:

The best book for the real "insides" of riding dressage. This is an absolute must read for those serious about dressage at any level. Well written, clear to understand and best of all it makes sense! Not only a "how to change your attitude guide" but the reasoning behind it is explained as well. Follow the good advice in this book and you're sure to see a difference in your riding and how you communicate with your hoofed partner.

Mining the Hard Rock in the Silverton San Juans: A Sense of Place, a Sense of Time
Published in Hardcover by Simpler Way Book Company (01 January, 1996)
Average review score:

Review of Mining the Hard RockA fascinating look into the history of mining in Southwest Colorado. The book is full of photographs and interviews that paint a real picture of what life was like for the men who worked the mines, and the mothers, wives , and daughters who lived with them in these isolated and rugged communities. The book provides an understanding not only of the tremendous hardships the miners endured, but also of the incredible accomplishments they achieved. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in the history of the Southwest, or the history of hard rock mining.

Molasses Man
Published in School & Library Binding by Holiday House (September, 2000)
Average review score:

This book is about so much in so few pagesKathy May takes what seems to be a simple tale-- the making of molasses, and turns it into a turning point in a child's life. A moment where family and community and the past and the future (the little boy narrator is to become the next "Molasses Man") come together, Ms. May weaves these threads into a story that even very young children will enjoy hearing.
The primitive, at times impressionistic paintings go well with the text, helping small children form images of a world that is rapidly disappearing.
Highly recommended.

Montana's Bob Marshall Country: The Bob Marshall, Scapegoat, Great Bear Wilderness Areas and Surrounding Wildlands
Published in Paperback by Farcountry Pr (June, 2003)
Average review score:

Montana's Bob Marshall CountryA great preview of "The Bob". Very good, concise information in a very readable format. I especially liked the sections on wildlife and history. Makes you want to go to Montana tomorrow and see the country, even if it is January and you hate snow. I can hardly wait for the summer and a visit to the wild country of "The Bob".
